For three weeks in October 2009, the U.S. Department of Energy hosted the Solar Decathlon—a competition in which 20 teams of college and university students competed to design, build, and operate the most attractive, effective, and energy-efficient solar-powered house. The Solar Decathlon was an event to which the public was invited to observe the powerful combination of solar energy, energy efficiency, and the best in home design.Check out their link for more information!

Indiana and IU

The Central Heating Plant (CHP) located on 11th and Fee Lane burns ~60,000 +tons of coal every year just to heat and cool IU’s campus. IU also purchases coal powered electricity from Duke Energy. For more information check out the links below!
